I decided to come here based on seeing all the great yelp reviews and I can now see why it's got such good reviews!! I really enjoyed this place. The food was amazing and the service was great. The staff were friendly as well.
It's a nice looking restaurant inside which automatically gives it a nice atmosphere and for a late-ish Sunday night dinner it was still quite busy!
I thought the menu had lots of different choices and struggled a bit to choose what I wanted! Ended up with chicken masala, pilau rice and garlic naan which all tasted fantastic. What I like most about this place is that the food wasn't too heavy. Sometimes Indian food can be on the heavy side but this place had it perfect. My friend ordered the lamb rogan josh and also throughly enjoyed it.
The staff were really friendly up to the point that because I was oooo-Ing and aaah-ing at a dish that was going to another table, the waiter asked me to stay as he as bringing out another one and wanted to show me it!! Turned out it was a dosa which I hadn't seen before so I thought that was cool he brought one out to show me haha
Would definitely come back here asap and recommend it to anyone wanting some nice Indian food. -

We came here for an early lunch on Monday, right when they opened so it was nice and quiet.
They have what I can only assume was a lunch menu, as we were advised the portions were smaller (and the price reflected this!)
Between the two of us we had two lunch orders of butter chicken, one cheese naan, and one steamed rice for a grand total of £12.30.
The portions were just right for lunch as neither of us left feeling overly full, or hungry, and it was nice to know that if we had wanted a heftier option, the regular portion of butter chicken for two would be just shy of £11, so needless to say we were pleased with the deal.
Service was good- lots of water refills and an attentive waiter, though he was quite soft spoken and had to repeat a few times. It's okay though!
Atmosphere was pleasant and the music was top 40 but mostly remade. I would have enjoyed a more cultural flair, but that's just personal preference.
Would definitely return. -

I can only speak for the mango lassi (just got it as a quick treat), but it was a fair portion and really delicious! They don't do take away though which sucked but they were really fast about it!

I'd heard great things about Rishi's so decided to visit for date night. Although we hadn't booked we were quickly shown to a table, handed menus and a drinks order was taken. We were instantly made to feel right at home by the friendly and attentive waiting staff.
Soon we'd ordered a starter of Methu Vadai to share. These are little savoury doughnuts made of lentils, onions and spices and they were delicious served with a sambar and a yogurt dip. They were crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy in the middle and, since you get two pieces they were perfect for sharing. It's not something I've ordered before but I'd definitely try them again.
We decided to get a rice and a naan to share for our main course and my partner chose the Lamb Kadai whilst I chose a Lamb Kofta dish I forget the exact name of. He loved the Kadai, saying the tomato flavours were amazing and I really, really loved the koftas. They were a little unusual, with the minced lamb wrapped around a boiled egg, rather than just being plain meatballs. I guess it's a bit like an Indian version of a Scotch egg. Again, it wasn't something I'd had before but it really worked and everything was cooked beautifully.
So, it turns out the good things I'd heard were all true. Rishi's didn't fail to impress and I'm sure we'll be back. -

Thankyou Briony for introducing me to Rishis on my Yelp Secret Dining Club experience. You really could not have chosen a more perfect venue for me. I had heard good things about Rishis from fellow Yelpers but had not yet made it in. Indian food is one of my most favourite things (in the whole wide world ever) so I was thrilled when Briony revealed we would be heading here.
Walking in to Rishis, the decor is unfussy and understated. The staff were pleasant, but the food was outstanding!
There was six of us sharing our Secret Dining Club experience, and we were all happy to share, so we got to try a really good variety of dishes.
To start I had the Shish kebab which was beautifully spiced and the lamb was lovely and succulent. From the other starters the standout dish for me was the Chicken Manjurian which was delicious and melt in the mouth tender!
On to the main course, I went for Chicken Saag. This was one of the nicest Chicken Saags I have had, the sauce was beautifully thick and sumptuous with spinach and the portion was plentiful. From the other Yelpers choices I LOVED the Butter Chicken Dopiaza, if you like a creamy dish without it being too heavy then this is the perfect dish for you.
The Naan breads were brilliant. I ordered a Butter Naan (my mouth is now watering as I type) which was dreamy soft and velvety with butter. The Peshwari Naan was really lovely too, with just the right amount of filling to keep it light and fluffy!
This is a truly excellent city centre Indian restaurant, which has just taken top of my list of favourite restaurants in Glasgow. Can't wait to go back!
